The band is an American reggae and dub band founded in 2006 and based in Southern California. The group, led by frontman and self-taught multi-instrumentalist Scott Woodruff, has made a significant impact in the reggae music scene.
Scott Woodruff started Stick Figure as a solo project while living in Duxbury, Massachusetts until 2009. After a transformative journey to New Zealand and Bali, he relocated to San Diego in 2011 to assemble a full band, music blends reggae, dub, and roots influences, creating a laid-back yet captivating sound.
The dub music band has released seven full-length albums and one instrumental album. All of their albums were written and produced by Scott Woodruff himself, their music often features upbeat rhythms, melodic hooks, and conscious lyrics. Their live shows are known for their positive vibes, with audiences swaying to the reggae beats, they’ve played at various venues and festivals, sharing the stage with other notable acts.
The band continues to create new music and connect with fans. Their latest album “Wisdom”, was released recently, and they’re embarking on the Sacred Sands Summer Tour 2024. If you’re into reggae and dub, Stick Figure’s music is definitely worth exploring!
