The scene where Jo takes Beth to the beach when her sister is getting weaker connects with the previous scene of the four sisters playing on the beach. The contrasting colors between the two times support the film’s nostalgic atmosphere. When the March sisters were teenagers, the film’s color leaned toward a warm orange-yellow color. As they grow up and face many difficulties, the film’s color leans toward gloomy and cold gray.

The highlight in the 2019 version of Little Women is the way the characters are built, with clear and bold personalities. Meg is gentle, loving, and good at acting. Jo is strong, driven, and good at writing literature. Beth is a talented pianist but gentle and shy. Amy is bright, competitive, and good at drawing. Compared to previous versions of Little Women, the personalities of characters like Jo and Amy are enhanced, consistent with the spirit of the new era.

The film brings together many top stars and has suitable roles. In the main role, Saoirse Ronan is charismatic, especially in situations where the character displays masculine attitudes and behavior. Ronan convinces viewers in interior scenes, bringing a sense of authenticity, typically the scene where Jo confides in her mother.
